Field example 001 / Lieder Digital

A business phone worth answering again.

Automated Google verification scam calls were making Ron’s business line unusable. A simple call flow restored a useful first line of defense.

The problem

The business phone rang so often with automated Google business verification scams that Ron started ignoring it. The interruptions were wasting time and making a real business channel harder to use.

The intervention

The number was already in Quo. Ron added a call flow that asks the caller to press 1 before connecting. A person can complete the step. The automated scam callers he was receiving did not.

What happened

The setup took approximately 38 minutes. When Ron described the result on September 29, 2026, he reported that those automated Google scam calls had stopped. That is an observation from his own business at that point in time, not a guarantee that every unwanted call will be blocked.

Why this belongs here

The solution uses a phone-system feature rather than an AI model. It demonstrates the same work that makes an agent implementation useful: diagnose the problem, understand the system, make a focused change, and check the result.

The next useful questions

Can legitimate callers connect easily? Where do unanswered calls go? Are missed calls followed up? How do we know whether the flow is helping? A good workflow includes the people on both sides of the call.
